 ARTBMP 2.00 - first release 14/03/96
 ------------------------------------

Well, here I am wit a brand new version of ArtBmp. You see, it is not v1.60
as I promised before, but v2.0. Why? Because I recoded the whole thing, changed
VGA engine, disk handling, user-interface and optimized convertor itself. I
also added some new features, so here they are:

Hires support (loading, converting to and from, saving)
Palette editing (create your own palette - YO DEEKAY/CREST!!!)

Especially the hires part was the most asked one... OK, so how to control
this? There are no problems, you will see the main menu, so choose the item
you want to and let's go... Don't forget to put whole file names (with
proper way to find them)! This is just firs release with a new code, so
take this sort of BETA-Testing. Anyway, the results with this one are far
better than with any older ArtBmp. It's faster and, believe or not, it is
much better with color-optimizing!!! Try it on your previously converted
stuff - you'll see!

Thanx and hello to following guys:

DeeKay/Crest, Strider and Einstein/WOW, Bob, whole ex-Rush staff...

  About formats

 - on the PC side it's always 320x200x256 uncompressed bitmap (.bmp) as
   created by many editors (Neopaint...).
 - on the c64 multicolor as created and readed by The Advanced Art Studio.
 - on the c64 hires it's just bitmap plus color-ram.

If you want other formats accepted on the c64, just send me short memory
map or description. I'm looking for any hires standart...
